Online casino use has exploded since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this video, we're going to discuss the carefully-crafted psychological tricks used by casinos, to manipulate you to keep playing. For example, they give you the false hope of a jackpot, bombard you with misleading statistics, and even give you the illusion of free will. Unfortunately, for some, this successfully turns a bit of harmless fun into something much more sinister - an addiction. They're dodgy and effective tactics, but as long as you're aware of them, it's at least a little easier to stay in control.
