Multiple Mini Interview Mmi: Winning Strategies from Admissions Faculty:

How's it going, everyone? In this week's video, I talk about the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI). MMIs are a type of interview style that more and more schools are adopting because it tests your ability to think and react to scenarios quickly. They are actually rather fun to do and have really enjoyed the schools I interviewed at which incorporated this interview style!
The book I have linked above, Multiple Mini Interview Mmi: Winning Strategies from Admissions Faculty, is the book I read prior to going on my first ever MMI. I have no affiliation which this book or the author, but I am so passionate about how well-written this book is and how prepared I felt going into my first MMI (and every other MMI) after reading this book. If there is anything you are going to do in order to prepare for your MMI, it should be taking 2-3 days to intermittently read this book! I promise you will not be disappointed!
One thing I did not go over in the video (realizing it now) are the stations which involve teamwork with another interviewee. These are someone self-explanatory but are also really fun! What will happen is you and another interviewee will go into a room together and will be instructed to complete (or attempt to complete) a task. The interviewers will assess your communication skills, energy, and ability to work together with others. They are pretty fun!
Per usual, if you have any questions regarding MMIs or applying to medical school, please comment below or DM me here on the channel or on my Instagram (@shaunandersen)!
Thanks for watching!
PS: Next week's video is going to have some EXTREMELY good news! 😉
